The Vision of Victory
The week before Thanksgiving 2005 Victory held their first service. We met at the Comfort Inn on S. Arlington Rd. in Akron. The services started with just a handful of people but you could see that God has awesome plans for Victory. By the second week of January we were meeting at Scott's Folkatorium in Akron. We met at Scott's until the Easter of 2006. Scott was a real blessing to Victory in our short time there but it was time for Victory to spread our wings. At that time we signed a lease on our new site at 2597 S. Arlington Rd. in Akron. We started meetings in the front part of the building. The area was the reception and call center for a fastener company. With some paint, man power and a lot of prayer our first worship center and Victorious Kidz church was ready for services. In just a few short weeks or temparary worship center was full. Then after praying in our future worship center on Tuesday night July 11th, pastor Dave felt led to hold a service there. On Sunday July 16th we held a service in our future worship center for the first time. The walls and the floors were bare but service was awesome and pastor Dave laid out the vision for the center and for Victory. Each week as we meet in the new worship center new things are happening. On Saturday July 22rd, we finished our brand new stage. Soon we will be painting the center. Hard work and prayer is going into the worship center. It will seat about 125 people when it is complete. We are in the process of patching walls, pricing chairs and carpet, and looking into stage lighting and additional sound gear. Please pray for Victory Christian Assembly and the call that is on our church in the communtiy. Come on down and visit us and see what going on at Victory!

Victory Celebrated our Grand Opening. Assistant District Overseer Pastor Gene Carver dedicated our new building. Pastor's David and Doris Duncan were installed as senior pastor's of Victory. They were Joined by Mrs. Beth Carver, District Home Missions Director Dr. Rev. Nick Cacciatore, and Pastor Jill DeMarco and the Loosed to Praise Drama Ministry from New Brighton Christian Assembly in New Brighton, PA. |
